Germany aims for 460,000 deployable troops

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has announced a significant expansion of the country's military personnel, stating the ambition is for Germany to become the strongest conventional army in Europe. The plan targets at least 460,000 deployable personnel across active forces and reserves combined. To meet this goal, Berlin plans to recruit beyond available positions to build a manpower surplus, ensuring readiness and establishing Germany as the dominant conventional military power on the continent.
