Russia outproducing EU in weapons: EU data

European Commissioner Andrius Kubilius has released data showing Russia's military production vastly outpaces that of the European Union. According to the figures for last year, Russia produced 1,100 cruise missiles to the EU's 300, 900 ballistic missiles to the EU's zero, 4 million artillery shells to the EU's 2 million, and 3,500 infantry vehicles to the EU's 500. Kubilius used the stark comparison to urge the EU to allocate 131 billion euros to a European 'competitiveness' fund to close the gap. The data highlights the industrial disparity as the EU continues to support Ukraine against the Russian invasion.
