Three ships hit by gunfire in Strait of Hormuz

At least three commercial vessels were targeted by gunfire in the Strait of Hormuz today, according to a Reuters report. The crews of all ships are reported safe. One of the vessels, a Liberia-flagged container ship, was hit by small arms fire, while the other two ships were also struck. The attacks add to the dozens of incidents reported in the critical global oil chokepoint since the start of the US-Iran conflict.
