For the first time in Russia, the 'GEOKOSMOS' communication and navigation system has enabled the control of unmanned aerial systems at ranges exceeding 100 km without using satellite channels. Developed by the ZALA company, the system was demonstrated in an over-the-horizon flight of 'ZALA T-20' and 'AIST' UAVs, which performed altitude separation and dynamic control without direct line-of-sight. The system confirmed compatibility with various platforms and stable operation in conditions lacking external communication infrastructure. This solution forms a secure control channel and independent navigation, laying the foundation for a sovereign UAV control system to reduce dependence on satellites and increase operational stability in electronic warfare.
