NIA convicts 7 in Bengaluru prison radicalisation plot

India's Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested two individuals for plotting attacks using explosive materials like RDX. The duo had identified potential targets, including political figures associated with the RSS. Initial investigations reveal the main suspect, Pathan, was spreading jihadist propaganda and attempting to build a nationwide network of radicals. He was allegedly planning to recruit and train individuals in handling weapons and manufacturing explosives, including RDX bombs, and was in contact with terror organizations to facilitate arms smuggling from Pakistan and Afghanistan and raise funds.
