UK Parliament introduces tobacco/vape ban for post-2008 births

The United Kingdom Parliament has introduced the Tobacco and Vapes Bill, which will impose a lifelong ban on purchasing tobacco and vapes for anyone born on or after January 1, 2009. Health Secretary Wes Streeting stated the reform aims to save lives, ease pressure on the National Health Service, and build a healthier Britain. The legislation, which awaits Royal Assent, is designed to create a 'smoke-free generation' and is expected to come into effect in 2027.
