China's silver imports hit record high in March

China is experiencing historic demand for silver, with imports rising 78% month-over-month to approximately 836 tonnes in March. This represents a 173% increase above the 10-year seasonal average for March and sets a new monthly record. Year-to-date silver imports have reached about 1,626 tonnes, also the highest on record for this period. The surge indicates strong industrial or investment demand within China's economy.
