Iraqi activist survives assassination attempt

Unidentified gunmen attempted to assassinate Iraqi activist Zargham Majid in the Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi district of Babil province in southern Iraq. Video footage, including from CCTV cameras, captured the moment of the failed attack. The activist, who opposes Iranian proxy militia groups in Iraq, survived the attempt and was transferred to a hospital for treatment. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
