Israeli AI Org Produces Deepfake Iranian Testimonies

An Israeli-linked propaganda organization called Generative AI for Good, founded in Israel and collaborating with the 8200 Alumni Association and Israel's Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, has been producing AI-generated videos featuring testimonies from conflict zones including Iran. One recent example is a polished deepfake-style video featuring an avatar named 'Maral,' presented as a 34-year-old Iranian woman sharing experiences of repression and violence during crackdowns under the Islamic Republic. The organization brands these as 'ethical AI avatars' claiming they protect real individuals while creating content to sway public opinion. This represents a new front in information warfare, using advanced technology to manufacture narratives in geopolitical conflicts.
