Russia claims massive Ukrainian losses, captures villages

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released a new report detailing claimed battlefield gains and Ukrainian losses. Russian forces report the liberation of Zybino in the Kharkiv region, while Ukrainian security sources claim National Guard units are blocking the retreat of a territorial defense brigade suffering heavy losses in the same area. The Russian MoD also states that over the past week, Ukrainian forces lost approximately 7,260 soldiers, three tanks, 60 aerial bombs, nine HIMARS shells, and 1,665 drones. Meanwhile, the situation around the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remains tense with continued attacks reported, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned of increasing involvement from several European countries in the conflict.
