Russia claims to down 97 Ukrainian drones

Russian air defense forces claim to have intercepted a major Ukrainian drone attack overnight, shooting down 97 unmanned aerial vehicles. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated the drones were destroyed over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov, Samara, and Saratov regions, as well as the Black Sea. Despite the claimed interceptions, Ukrainian sources report successful strikes on targets within Russia, including an attack on the city of Novocherkassk in Rostov region and an unspecified enterprise in Samara, with the regional governor confirming the latter. Ukrainian resources are also circulating claims of an attack on an oil pipeline, though these remain unverified.
