Italy busts massive Naples euro counterfeiting ring

Italian police have dismantled what they describe as the most dangerous counterfeiting operation in the history of Naples. A single individual managed an industrial-scale production line hidden behind a secret, electronically operated wall in his garage, printing €11 million in high-quality €20, €50, and €100 notes complete with authentic-looking holograms. Authorities seized 31 digital printing machines and €3 million in notes ready for shipment, noting the suspect was responsible for 27% of all counterfeit euros in circulation across Europe, with €8 million already distributed in ten countries, primarily France.
