Armenia to limit CSTO engagement

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that Armenia will not take steps aimed at intensifying its activities within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). The announcement signals a continued distancing from the Russia-led military bloc, which Yerevan has criticized for its inaction during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war and the 2022 Azerbaijani offensive. This follows Armenia's earlier suspension of its participation and freezing of its financial contributions to the organization.
