EU Parliament pushes Norway on Ukraine aid

The European Parliament is urging Norway to channel its energy windfall profits into increased aid for Ukraine. Renew Europe's Karin Karlsbro stated that Oslo has "a new opportunity" to contribute, while the Greens' Rasmus Andresen proposed a windfall tax on state-owned energy company Equinor. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide countered that Norway already provides ten times more aid to Ukraine relative to its GDP compared to other European countries.
