North Korea details cluster missile test results

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw a test of the Hwasong-11R (Hwasong-11Ra/D) operational-tactical missile system equipped with new cluster-type warheads on April 19, 2026. The test involved the launch of five short-range missiles from the country's eastern coast, which flew 136 km and delivered a concentrated strike over a designated area of 12.5-13 hectares. The solid-fuel, maneuverable Hwasong-11Ra has a range of up to 300 km and is deployed on a wheeled self-propelled launcher with four transport-launch containers.
