Rare T-80UE-1 tank spotted in Ukraine

A rare T-80UE-1 main battle tank has been spotted in the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone in Ukraine. The vehicle is a hybrid configuration, combining a T-80BV hull with a turret from the T-80UD, and features an enclosed mount for the commander's machine gun for increased protection. It is equipped with a 'Plisa' thermal imaging sight for target recognition up to 3.5 km and a 125mm cannon capable of firing guided missiles at distances up to 5 km. Powered by a 1,250 hp gas turbine engine, the 47-ton tank can reach speeds of 70 km/h on roads and has an operational range of about 440 km.
