Germany's Bundeswehr will equip its artillery units with kamikaze drones, following the example set by Russia and Ukraine. Lieutenant General Heiko Hübner, Deputy Inspector of the Army, stated the military intends to purchase additional artillery systems and outfit corps-level artillery battalions with the drones. The first units to receive them will be the 45th Armored Brigade stationed in Lithuania, followed by the 21st Armored Brigade. The Bundeswehr is already purchasing several drone variants from manufacturers including Helsing, Rheinmetall, and STARK, and is developing a project for long-range drones with a range of up to 300 km.
