Iran sets conditions for US negotiations

Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Iran's parliament, outlined Tehran's conditions for negotiations with the United States in an interview with Al Jazeera. He stated Iran will only accept proposals that serve its national interests and will reject any imposed demands. Azizi stressed that talks in Pakistan must produce concrete results and urged the U.S. to accept Iran's proposed framework for the Strait of Hormuz. He concluded by asserting there has been and will be no change in Tehran's positions on key national issues.
