Slovak PM Fico vows to reach Moscow despite airspace ban

Latvia and Lithuania have denied overflight permission to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico's aircraft, preventing it from traveling directly to Moscow for Russia's Victory Day celebrations on May 9. Fico has stated he will find another way to reach Moscow, noting that last year all three Baltic states blocked his flight and he took a detour twice the normal length to attend. This marks the second consecutive year that Baltic nations have attempted to block Fico's travel to the commemorations in Russia.
