Factory blast kills 23 in Tamil Nadu

A powerful explosion has destroyed a firecracker factory in Tamil Nadu, India, killing at least 23 workers and injuring several others. The blast was so severe it reduced three or four rooms of the facility to rubble. The majority of the victims were women, with 16 confirmed among the dead. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
