Ukraine warns of Belarusian front preparations

Ukrainian officials are warning of increased military preparations in Belarus, which they assess could be used by Russia to open a new northern pressure front. Commander Maksym Zhorin (call sign "Dykyi") stated that while Russia may use Belarus to create such a front, he does not believe it will be used for a direct march on Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has previously warned of specific activities including road construction, artillery positions, and reserve call-ups in Belarus. These warnings suggest Ukraine is preparing for the possibility of renewed threats along its northern border with Belarus.
