Saudi Quran reciter releases anti-Iran anthem

Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy, the globally recognized Saudi Quran reciter, has released a new religious anthem (nasheed) titled 'Perish the hands of Iran and those with Iran, we are the people of Tawheed'. The song praises Arab leaders like Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed while condemning Iran and its attacks on American bases in the Gulf. The release has sparked criticism, with some users noting Al-Afasy's silence on Israel during the Gaza war, and calls for Islamic apps to remove his voice to deny him revenue. Al-Afasy is known for his Wahhabi/Madkhali views, which critics say excuse the actions of Arab and Western governments.
