IDF soldier killed in Lebanon blast

An Israel Defense Forces reservist was killed and nine other soldiers wounded, one seriously, when an explosive device detonated in southern Lebanon on April 17. The incident occurred during the ceasefire as troops from the 769th 'Hiram' Brigade were operating in IDF-controlled territory. An engineering vehicle struck a bomb planted by Hezbollah, and soldiers securing the vehicle were caught in the blast. The fatality has been identified as 31-year-old Lidor Porat. The wounded include four moderately and four lightly injured soldiers in addition to the one seriously wounded.
