Canada to host major investment summit

Canada has announced its first-ever Canada Investment Summit, scheduled for September 14-15, 2026, in Toronto. The event aims to convene the world's largest investors to unlock a national investment goal of $1 trillion, specifically targeting the clean energy, critical minerals, and artificial intelligence sectors. The summit is a partnership with major Canadian pension funds CPP Investments and PSP Investments, designed to attract global business leaders. The government reports it has already secured $97 billion in foreign investment commitments over the past 12 months.
