India pursues Nirav Modi extradition from UK

India's Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed that India is in touch with the United Kingdom regarding the extradition request for fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi. Jaiswal stated that legal procedures are currently underway as part of the extradition process. The Indian government remains committed to bringing economic fugitives like Modi back to face justice in India. Modi is wanted in connection with the massive Punjab National Bank fraud case that surfaced in 2018.
