Iran criticizes EU over US-Israel aggression

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei has sharply criticized European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, accusing the EU of hypocrisy in its application of international law. Baghaei stated that Europe's 'chronic failure' to observe international rules has turned its rhetoric into a 'clear manifestation of hypocrisy,' specifically citing the EU's consent to US-Israeli military aggression against Iran. He argued that no international law prohibits Iran, as the coastal state of the Strait of Hormuz, from taking necessary measures to prevent aggressors from using the strait for illegal attacks. The statement, released by the IRGC Cyber Corps, asserts that the concept of 'unconditional passage' through the strait lost relevance after US military bases there were used for operations against Iran.
