PAG approaches tanker off Somalia coast

The UK Maritime Trade Operations reported an incident 500 nautical miles east of Mogadishu, Somalia, where a tanker was approached by a Pirate Action Group (PAG). A larger wooden vessel crossed ahead of the tanker, and two additional small craft closed within 400 meters. The attackers turned away after spotting armed sentries on the tanker. UKMTO advises vessels to transit with caution and report suspicious activity.
